So, here it is, the first post of some of my Italian purchases. This skirt has to be one of my favourite things. I've been looking for a skirt like this forever but was never able to find one like I had pictured in my mind. Bet you'll never guess that I bought it in H&M in Florence! I told myself I wasn't going to buy anything that wasn't Italian made or I that I could buy back home, but I just could not resist this one. I had to buy it as soon as I saw it. I love the pleating in the front and the cool, minty colour.  A soft, airy fabric that is perfect for hot days like today!

Shopping in Italy

Some of you are probably wondering what my must have purchases were in Italy. First off, let me say this:  I was limited by what would fit in my backpack, my ability to carry it around for 18 days and also by my student's budget, otherwise, the pile you see on the hotel bed would have been much higher!  Somehow, I managed. So heres a picture of what was purchased over there.. you'll be seeing everything in detail in my next new posts! ;)

Italy trip!

After what seemed like the shortest 3 weeks of my life, I'm home again after back-packing in Italy. It was an amazing experience and a memory I will never let fade. In fact, it was my first time in Europe, so that certainly added to the awe and excitement. People keep asking me what was my favourite part of the trip or where was my favourite place?  Well, it is actually a difficult question to answer because I absolutely loved every place I visited.  They were all unique and special in their own way.  To sum up the trip though, I can tell you this...the fashion, the food, and the lifestyle is a whole other world in Italy...it was divine!   I'd be there again tomorrow if I only could!
