Bye for now!...or should I say "arrivederci"!

So, today I'm leaving for Italy!! I can't even describe how excited I am! I'm gone for nearly 3 weeks and will try my best to post some pictures while over there.  If I'm not able to access a computer, then I will have a million pictures to post when I am back! Have an amazing 3 weeks guys! Tell you all about it when I'm back! :)

Maxi Dress

(Dress- Joe Fresh, Shoes- Costa Blanca, Bracelets- H&M)

The maxi dress first became a trend in the late 60's and early 70's. After that, this trend disappeared for a while but now it's back, and I love it! I definately didn't think that a long dress would flatter my body, since I swim at the shallow end of the gene pool, but a maxi dress can be pulled off by practically any body type. They make you look a lot slimmer, especially when you are wearing heels. I've had this simple navy maxi dress for a couple of years now, but I'm on the hunt for another in a fun colour and/or pattern!

I will never love you more

Wedges

(Shoes- Aldo, Dress- Marshalls, Purse- Longchamp, Sunglasses- Marc Jacobs, Headband- Ardene, Bracelets- Coach, Forever 21)

I absolutely love wearing heels, but sometimes it can make an outfit look a little too dressy.. that's when the wedges come out! Wedges, in my humble opinion, are the best summer heel. They can make an outfit look casual and/or dressy. This summer I have become completely obsessed with wedges.. everytime I walk into Aldo, I literally die. They talk to me....pick me, pick me!  Black, brown, white and coloured wedges; they're all beautiful. It's so hard to resist the urge to buy them all.

Summer List

Ahhh....peace & tranquility!)

I recently went to my cottage on my one day off work with my friend, Jordanna. It was the best thing I did all week. I felt so relaxed and had nothing to worry about. Those days are the best days, where you do absolutely nothing and think of nothing. But, it did make me think of things that I should accomplish this summer. Everyone should have a "Summer To Do List". What's yours? Think about it. Here is a couple things on mine...

1. Go to my cottage as much as possible

2. Return home from Italy (LOL)

3. Re-do my room at dad's house

4. Work on my blog ;)

5. Learn to play a song on guitar

6. Go to as many concerts as possible

7. Learn to long board- become a pro

8. Go camping

New Purchases!

Here are my 2 new purchases from the other day when I was shopping downtown. I am in love with what I got! I have been looking around for a while for shorts like these with lacey detail and found the perfect ones at Aritzia, and of course, they are my favourite colour, pink! (if you haven't already noticed, I love pink) And also, my new Marc by Marc Jacobs sunglasses from Holt Renfrew. I am super excited to start wearing them! :D

Shopping Trip

The other day I went shopping with my friend Gina to get a few things for our trip to Italy.....departing next week....gulp!!! We did some shopping at the Toronto Eatons Centre and also along Bloor St., followed by some lunch and daquiris at Mr Green Jeans, out on the patio. It was such a beautiful day, perfect for a walk around the city. I can't wait to tell you what I bought! I'll be posting it tomorrow, so be sure to check it out.

Pink and Simple

I got my dress and belt at an awesome vintage store in Toronto, on Queen Street, called 69 Vintage. It's bizarre how some things that our parents used to wear are now so fashionable. I love going through my Grammas closet just to see the styles and colours and how everything has come back, but with a new twist. Hope everyone had an amazing weekend! Go out and enjoy the nice weather! :)

New Suit

Heres a new bathing suit I just bought yesterday at Joe Fresh. I thought it was the cutest bathing suit ever and I had to get it.  I was only $24 for both pieces! I love Joe Fresh, it's the best place for good quality clothing at amazing prices! There's always new and adorable clothing to be discovered there.  Happy Friday!

Its a Hat Thing

I absolutely love wearing fedoras. They are starting to become a favourite thing of mine to wear this summer. They are great for when you don't feel like wearing sunglasses or doing your hair, and as in my case, when you need to cover up a sun burnt nose. Hats seem to be the hottest, new trend, ever since the royal wedding.  I was never a hat person, but now I'm really starting to like them!
