Heart Tights

Another favourite trend of mine is patterned tights; they have the ability to draw your eye to the legs and add a little bit of excitement to an otherwise plain outfit. I'm wearing a simple gauzey shirt, jean shorts and boots with these heart patterned tights. I love tights because you can wear them in pretty much any weather, even on cool summer nights.  Its the perfect thing to dress up an outfit.

And, yes, if you didn't already notice...I'm burnt to a crisp. I was outside at my friends pool for 4 hours with no sunscreen and it's probably the worst decision of the summer so far. I'll be bathing in a pool of aloe for the next 2 weeks...ugh!  Don't make the same mistake as me.  Pale skin is really in.  If you want to add some colour to your legs, then wear tights :)

Comfort Clothes

Weekends are for relaxing and socializing with family and friends. There's a time and place for the sweatshirt, and jeans, but it's surprisingly easy to be comfortable and dressy at the same time. As for me, I'm heading to a backyard bbq with my close friends and chose to wear a pair of skinny jeans, tennis shoes and 50's inspired top. Just add some accessories and there you go! Comfortable and fashionable; a perfect outfit suitable for a summer bbq. Enjoy your weekend!

Jean Shirt

My new favourite thing to do with longer shirts is to tie them up into crop tops. You can pretty much take any old shirt and change it into a completely different shirt. Here I used an older long jean shirt that normally goes past my bum but just tied it up and now it’s a whole new top. A perfect thing to do for summer months in the hot weather to keep cool. Buttoned Up

Here’s one of my favourite shirts I own. It’s from American Apparel and you can honestly wear this shirt so many different ways with any type of style. Sometimes I have it tied up to be a crop top, or tucked in to high waisted shorts but this time I decided to have it buttoned up all the way with a necklace under the collar. I think it worked out pretty well, definitely going to be wearing it like this more often.

Woke up this morning at 6am for work.. possibly the hardest thing I've had to do in a while (probably from the lack of sleep this weekend). I'm sure a lot of you are feeling the same as me today, but it was worth it!  Back at home now, just going to have relaxing afternoon, maybe catch up on some missed episodes of Gossip Girl and most definately watch Oprah's second last show ever.  Then again, I should go for a walk. It was really nice to reunite with see our friends from school now that we've all gone our separate ways for the summer.  We'll probably be down to visit them quite a bit, so I'm sure you'll be seeing more downtown shots. Finally Friday!

After a long, solid 5 days of rain, the sun finally came out! And it's now starting to feel like summer! I thought a floral summer dress was appropriate for the occasion. Let’s hope it stays this nice for the long weekend! Even though I don’t really have any solid weekend plans thus far, I thought I might go up north to the cottage and spend my only day off work there. I've always felt it was the world's best place to relax. Have a good long weekend guys!

Pamela Love



New obsession: Pamela Love’s new spring 2011 jewellery collection. Absolutely amazing! It’s a very edgy style with a lot of studs and skulls, but every single piece is extremely gorgeous! Sisters Prom

So, its that time of year again... Prom!! My sister was asked to go with one of her friends so we went out yesterday to find something for her to wear. Since she still has another year until her own prom, we decided that we were going to try to find everything as cheap, but nice as possible... and we did! We managed to get a dress, jewellery and shoes for under $150!! Happy shopping to all of you also going to prom this year! Have fun!

Block Colour

My new favourite spring/summer trend: block colour. I love the contrast of the 2 colours; it makes such a bold statement with any outfit. When using the block colour, keeping it simple is the best way to go. More than 2 or 3 colours could make your outfit look a little overwhelming. This trend definitely brings out the spring/summer feel!

Hello Spring!

It’s been a crazy week, working my life away and planning a trip to Italy with my best friend in mid June. Have had a lot on my mind, but the nice weather has been making everything that much better.
